Rahul was a simple and unassuming boy. He strived for good social contacts and for nice group of friends. He was studying in second year of Mechanical Engineering course at the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology at Dharwad in Karnataka Province of India, when ill fate struck him. He passed away in a tragic rail accident in a flash of a second in March 2003. Benevolent was he. He always thought of helping others sacrificing his own commitments at times. The present members of the Trust had a get together in September 2002, prior to Rahul’s death to discuss about formation of a family trust to do developmental works for needy in society. The initial draft of the trust’s objects was approved by all. Rahul made a valuable suggestion to include helping animals in distress. This was promptly accepted by other members of the family. Barely six months from then, Rahul was no more.
In tribute to him and to continue his philosophy toward life, a trust titled Rahul’s Response, appropriately describing his nature was formed in December 2003. The Trust is charitable in nature and strives to help those who really need support.
Rahul’s Response is committed to cater to the advancement of economic, educational and health conditions of the poor and needy.
